MAMA SAID THERE WOULD BE DAYS LIKE THIS…

Perhaps you remember the oldie…Mama said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this, my Mama said…
Some days you wake up in the morning with great anticipation for the new day and the day just seems to flow. The birds sing sweeter, the flowers appear brighter, and the world is a wonderful place of expectation.
Some days you snail out of bed and feel like you barely slept at all. The mind is like oatmeal mush and your heart is heavy. Some days no matter how much you try, the heart remains burdened and an indescribable sadness pervades your soul. On those days, every "family-related" commercial grips your heart and every happy tune brings a tear to the eye. Yeah, there are days like that, yes, there are days just like that.
What can you do when you find your heart and mind "trapped" in one of those days?
Here are 10 options for your consideration.
1. Get down on your knees and ask God to strengthen your mind and heart.
2. While on your knees, pour your heart out before God and ask for His help. (CRY your eyes dry, if needful.)
3. Get up and send another Christian Adoption couple a note--you don't have to encourage them, just share your heart--I can assure you that they also have lonesome days.
4. READ PSALMS.
5. Send another CA couple a note of encouragement, sharing any verses from Psalms that comforts your heart.
6. PRAY for the couples that you have just sent messages to--they need your prayers also.
7. Go outside, pick a flower and study it; eat some fruit and notice how it's a total package, watch the sun slowing fade into a spectacular sunset or observe a perfectly designed flitting butterfly. Your Heavenly Father, who loves you, made all these for you. These simple, yet intricately detailed blessings are just a fraction of HIS LOVE for you. They're here for you to enjoy and they're just the 'tip' of the blessing 'iceberg'. AT THIS MOMENT and at ALL TIMES, GOD IS PREPARING BIGGER BLESSINGS FOR YOU!
8. Send another CA couple a reminder note about the goodness of God.
9. Go to the CA web site and look at the profile photos of other CA couples and pray for them to be blessed with God's best, in His timing. (Don't read the profile letters, you'll start critiquing yourself--you are just as unique as they are--there's no competition between brothers and sisters in Christ.)
10. Go to the CA web site and look at your photo online and pray for your birth mother and her/your baby. (CRY your eyes dry, if needful.) (Don't read your profile letter, you'll start critiquing yourself--God is going to answer your prayers--not your letter.)
Lastly, when you lie down that night, on your own pillow, surrounded by your stuff that GOD has given to you, THANK HIM for HIS grace, mercy and goodness.
