Dear Christian Adoption family,
I just want to say Praise God! You know when man says it's impossible, God says it's possible. And where God is involved nothing shall be impossible. WOW! Isn't that awesome to know? God is faithful and good to answer prayers, and if your heart is still desiring to carry a child--do not cease to pray. You just do not know what could happen with God's blessing. You might be the next announcement on Christian Adoption of a "Miracle Pregnancy". I too, even though I'm very blessed with our adopted son, still have the great desire to carry life within me. I believe one day--in God's time I will.
When the Lord speaks to you, you can know without a doubt it is Him and what He says will come to pass. The night I sumitted to the Lord and asked for His guidence, I fell to the floor and poured my heart out to Him. I could no longer bear the pain and the emptiness. I could not make the decisions I had to make, but as my soul poured out to Him in a moment of silence I heard him say, "Brianna just trust me. There's nothing wrong with you." At that very moment I knew that I had to put myself and my plans aside and allow God to work in my life. God blessed us with a wonderful birthmom and the most beautiful son I could have ever imagined.
I'm just amazed at how God works! In God's Word I read,
"He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord." Psalm 113:9
As I first read it, it was as if God reached down and underlined the word children. So never give up, in His time it can come to pass.
Deborah is right, we have a choice. We can wallow in our own self pity and always ask why not me? Or we can rejoice in the many blessings of God and trust fully in His ability to hear and answer our prayers. We have that blessed assurance that God loves us all the same and wants the very best for each of us. So I praise Him for all the blessings that have come our way and for all those yet to come. It may be by adoption or you may carry that precious lil' angel yourself or it may be both!
"The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:25-26
