While Alex and Charlene were are on vacation in SC, Charlene was given the opportunity to speak at a church they attend while vacationing there each year. During Charlene's presentation she so touched the hearts and lives of those there that she passed out some 60 CA business cards, passed out profiles she had printed from the web site, and a woman in tears approached her afterwards. "God's timing is perfect. We have a 16-yr. old in our family that is pregnant and she wants to place her baby for adoption--we have not known what to do or where to turn. You have touched my heart and already helped me so very much. Please give me more information."
As Charlene said to me, "If we had remained matched with those birth parents earlier this year, I would not have been motivated to stand in front of a church congregation and speak about adoption. I would not have passed out those CA cards, affected the lives of so many people, and been there to offer that woman assistance. I suggested that she call you, review the web site, and gave her a profile to read over. God was blessing us by leading us to go on vacation at this time, to return to this place, to open the door for me to speak, and to minister to others. What an opportunity to give! If we are chosen to adopt this baby because God directs them to chose us--we will understand even more about our adoption journey. We are excited and very thankful about the door of opportunity to reach out to others while on vacation!"
