GOD BRINGS PEACE

It's 8:45 a.m. Thursday morning and I'm heading north to pick up a bassinet and other baby supplies from David's sister. All you can see for miles and endless miles is wide open grassland with a few antelope and cattle. God is producing a wonderful nature show for me with various shades of clouds with sun bursting through, some rain here and there, and then there is the biggest and most colorful rainbow that slices through the sky in a wide arch. One of the ends of the rainbow is following me alongside the road. I had to pull over and watch this display for a few minutes. I was feasting my eyes on the panorama before me and thanking God. Meanwhile three songs had played on the radio--Hallelujah-What a Savior, My Jesus I Love Thee, and All the Way My Savior Leads Me. How appropriate for me this morning. You see, I've been awake since 3:23 a.m. this morning praying. I was fretting about some things that weren't getting done and I was a little frustrated with our attorney. With God's nature show, the rainbow, the songs, and a peace in my heart, I feel that all will be right. Things will work out. I just need to calm down and not worry so much. The rainbow is a covenant between God and man that He wouldn't destroy the world with flooding. I felt very reassured that God has kept His promise through the centuries and I knew He would keep His promise to guide and stay with David and me through this adoption. Sometimes I feel guilty fretting because our adoption is going so much easier than what some of the other couples have gone through, but we all handle things differently. I got home and within an hour things were pretty much straightened out. My attorney called and we got results. An appointment has been set up for papers to be signed. All is going smooth again. It was just a "little" bump in the road. We appreciate all prayers coming our way. I just want to remind everyone to PRAY. God will hear.
(About 5 weeks later this couple successfully adopted a healthy baby boy!)
