Carren wrote this response to a birthmother that had chosen to place her baby for adoption. Carren and her husband adopted a baby boy several weeks later from their special birthmother. All names have been changed to protect privacy.

Dear Holly,
I can only imagine the feelings you are sorting through. I want to encourage you in your decision to place your child in a home that can provide all that a child needs to thrive. God loves you and He is standing firmly with you in your decision. He will help take the edge off of the hurt that others so carelessly inflict on you. Just be sure to look to Him in all you do...even the small stuff.
As a Christian couple that longs to become parents--it is by the grace of God and the loving sacrifice of a young mother like yourself that we will have that opportunity. We are so thankful that birthmothers consider and choose adoption. Though we probably will never meet on this side of heaven, I want to thank you for the gift you gave.
As a couple that only has 4+ weeks until the birth of our first child (via adoption), we are incredibly honored and blessed to have been selected by a birthmom that wants the very best for her baby, while acknowledging her current limitations. We will remember you in prayer.
