DEAR PRECIOUS: A LETTER TO OUR BIRTHMOM

Dear Precious,

Words are inadequate to express our love, appreciation, and thanksgiving to you. We are fully aware that you could have chosen to not carry this baby to full term. We are somewhat aware of the challenges you have faced during your pregnancy. We believe that you have thoughtfully considered the future of your baby.

We are convinced that the love in your heart for this child has motivated you to choose adoption. We are equally convicted that you have sought God's guidance and help in selecting a family for this special baby. We too have sought our great God's direction and an answer to our prayers. You are the answer to our prayers and the gift of your baby is an answer brought to us from God. We are humbled, we are honored, and we are blessed beyond measure.

We will for all time be thankful to you for choosing us to parent this child. We will forever thank God for His mercy and grace to bless us with a baby. We promise you that we will love this baby as our very own. Without hesitation we will care for his every need and offer him all we can for a happy and blessed life.

A day will not pass without time spent in prayer for this gift of life. We will also pray for your heart, well being, and for your dreams.

Our full allegiance belongs to God, but we have a solid loyalty in our hearts to you and your future. Please understand that you are always welcome to call us and to share your life with us. Your baby will be raised knowing who you are and the heart felt love you have for him.

You shared with us that it was the 2 poems that we presented in our profile letter to you that convinced you to select us to parent this baby. Our prayers are that this poem will bring you complete peace about your decision.

On a sunny warm day we received a call,

A surprise it was in the season of fall.

In a brief moment she shared some of her heart,

We did all we could to help her begin to start.

To find a mother to love her special unborn baby,

Little did we know that it would be me!

We've spent many hours in diligent prayer,

For this special baby we cannot bare.

We are so thankful in inexplicable ways,

Words are inadequate to truly convey.

The love that we will hold deep in our hearts,

For a woman whose child will never depart.

We know he will reside in her heart for always,

And we promise to love him for all of our days.

May we all give God the praise and all of the glory,

For He knows our hearts and the rest of the story.
