While Alex and Charlene were are on vacation in South Carolina, Charlene was given the opportunity to speak at their vacation church. During her presentation she touched many hearts and lives. She passed out about 60 Christian Adoption cards, distributed Christian Adoption couple profiles and shared her heart. A woman in tears approached her afterwards and said, "God's timing is perfect. We have a 16-year old in our family that is pregnant and she wants to place her baby for adoption. We didn't know where to go or where to turn for help. You have touched my heart and helped me so very much. Please give me more information."

As Charlene shared with me, "If we had remained "matched" with those birth parents earlier this year, I wouldn't have been motivated to stand in front of a church congregation and speak about adoption. I wouldn't have passed out Christian Adoption cards, I wouldn't have touched so many lives with our testimony, and I wouldn't have known about the needs of that woman. God was blessing us by leading us to go on vacation at this time, to return to this place, to open the door for me to speak, and to minister to others. What an opportunity to give! If we are chosen to adopt this baby because God directs them to chose us--we will understand even more about our adoption journey. We're excited and very thankful for the opportunity to reach out to others while on vacation!"
