Written by Deborah.

After the battle at Ziklag, King David faced huge challenges.

His two wives and all his children had been abducted, his army had turned against him and they wanted to stone him. However, David sought the Lord for his deliverance and for encouragement.

…but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.  I Samuel 30:6

David couldn't count on anyone. Only God knew his heart. Only God could heal his heart. Only God could direct his steps. Only God could help him sort through his emotions.

The Lord his God, is the Lord your God.

God knows your deepest thoughts, your fears, your concerns and your dreams. He knows the number of hairs on your head and your last thought when you go to bed. He feeds the sparrows and gives the lily its glory. The Lord is your strong defense, your tower, and your refuge. It is the Lord your God that will comfort you in unimaginable ways that are just for you. The Lord your God is almighty, all powerful, and full of majesty. He is full of grace and mercy to help you in your time of need.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16

Fear is not a part of the real you. The Christ in you, that resides in you spiritually, is the real you..

...which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  Colossians 1:27

You may get weary, you may feel defeated, and you may seem discouraged. But, the truths found in God's Word live and abide forever. Therefore you can rely on His promises, no matter what challenges are facing you.

Nothing can defeat God's Word. Nothing in this world, nothing in the spiritual world, and no thing in any way can defeat God's Word. It lives and it's a sure rock in the midst of uncertainty.

Determine to change your focus from feeling emotions to trusting His promises.

No matter what valleys you face, no matter how high you must climb to reach the mountaintop--you can do it with His help. Follow in the footsteps of great men of God that have gone before you. Study God's Word and become an over comer through Him.
