What I think:
I wish I were more like my beloved husband--always steady. I'm thankful for him; he brings my lows a little higher and my highs a little lower.
Disappointment has a noose around my neck at times; I struggle to shake it off.
The most difficult aspect of the adoption journey is introspection; my insides aren't so pretty.
What I know:
God's plans are perfect, even when they don't seem like it.
We walk by faith, not by sight.
God's grace is like manna from heaven sent to His children when they were in the wilderness. God gives you grace for the day, sometimes for the moment. You can't save it up, but it's there when you need it.
Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.
Be joyful, for you have been blessed beyond all measure. The Lord knows the desires of your heart; He will grant to you according to His good and perfect will and what's in your best interest. Your hope is in Christ. He finished a perfect work on the cross for you.
Be patient, and learn the lessons that God is teaching you.
Be faithful in prayer, and don't roll in the stinky swamp of self-pity.
Meditate on the Word and pray without ceasing!
I think my head understands these truths more than my heart.
(Timothy & Katharyn thank God for their new son through Christian Adoption!)
