The trucking company we drive for requires 4 wks. notice for a leave of absence. God, in His perfect timing, has provided us and our company with 6 weeks notice, since our birthmother will have a scheduled c-section on May 4th at 7:30 Am! We know the exact date and time of this baby's birth!
How many adoptions are planned out in such detail?
Oh, I know that answer--God's adoptions!
Last year, we attended the 2nd Christian Adoption Family Reunion on May 2-4 and during the Christian Adoption Family discussion time, Deborah spoke about trusting God.
I asked her, "So, what you're saying to us, is that we'll have a baby by this time next year?"
"Yes, that's what I'm saying."
And so God delivers and fulfills His promises in His timing, when we trust in Him.
Our testimony is so amazing and glorious! The power of prayer in Christian Adoption is more magnificent than I can describe!
Our birth parents not only chose us when our profile was temporarily offline, but they also look like us! They want us in the delivery room for the planned c-section and are ready to sign TPR papers before the birth!
We had completely surrendered the baby's appearance to God and we were willing to adopt whatever child He gave to us.
But God went way beyond amazing to answer our prayers!
This journey has never been about our baby.
(It took us being online for 9 mos. to learn that perspective.)
God has helped us change our minds and to be freed from strongholds in our hearts. He has shown us His never ending love and has given us His strength to wait upon Him.
In 6 weeks, we'll become first time parents, 2 weeks later we'll jump into our new business. (We already have several months of work scheduled and we haven't even bought our equipment yet!)
How GREAT is our God?
He is mighty, glorious, wonderful, magnificent, and loving.
He knows right where we're at-emotionally, physically and spiritually.
He will meet us where we are because He loves us.
