We are Darris and Tina and we live in Indiana.

About Darris

I was raised in a church going family with 2 brothers and 1 sister. We all had a wonderful childhood filled with loving memories. Once I graduated from high school, I went to work and have been faithfully working ever since! I enjoy fishing, bowling, hunting, and golfing.   

About Tina

I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and I’m a triplet! After I graduated from high school, I began working at a local factory and I met Darris. I can honestly say I married the man of my dreams! I enjoy listening to music and working on scrap books.

Our marriage

We believe we are meant to be together forever! Our marriage is built upon trust, love, respect, and patience. Without these building blocks, our house would crumple. Tina is a wonderful and loving wife both inside and out. She is always ready to listen to me when I need someone to talk to, and she is willing to help me with good advice. I believe she was made for me and I can't imagine my life without her. Darris is the rock of our relationship and I can always count on him. We have had many challenges in our lives, but we have worked through the difficulties together. Our marriage commitment and our unity are strong.

Psalms 127:3 Children are a gift from the Lord.

Our family

After many doctor visits and several years of infertility, we pursued adoption. God brought a wonderful birthmom into our lives, and precious Kaitlynn was born in 1999. Our son, Kody, was placed in Foster care when he was 16 months old and he was over 2 when we first met him. Although his adoption process was long, through prayer he became a part of our family in 2004! Kaitlynn (8) and Kody (7) are both such a blessing to our lives and we thank God for His gifts to us!

Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.

Our Lifestyle

Darris has worked at a printing shop that makes cereal boxes, for over 10 years. I love the days he has off from swing shift, so we can spend time together. He is very helpful and responsible. I’ve began a daycare in our home 10 years ago, so I could be a full time homemaker. Watching our children develop, hearing them speak their first words, and playing with them as they've grown has been an answer to prayer. Darris plays guitar in the band at our Baptist church and I sing in the choir. I also teach 6^th grade Sunday school and we are both leaders of our youth group.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loved us and in his special favor gives us everlasting comfort and good hope; comfort your heart and give you strength in every good thing  you do and say.
