CHRISTIAN ADOPTION: Tom & Kristine

Dear Birthmother,

We are Tom and Kristine, living in the beautiful state of Georgia with our three children, Christian, Andrew and Sarah.

On behalf of your child, Kristine thanks you for choosing life! She was born to an unwed mother and placed for adoption as an infant. She has longed for many years to thank the woman who gave her the precious gift of life. Although God hasn’t opened the doors for her to find her birthmother, she earnestly thanks YOU! One day your child will understand the challenging choice you made and will respond with gratitude for your courage. Your decisions today will impact many generations to come.

Kristine was raised by loving, Christian parents, and rejoices in the blessings of her adoption. We believe children are a gift from God.

Psalm 139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

About Us When we met in 2001, Kristine had been recently widowed by the loss of her husband. She was raising her 3 small children and I was a bachelor who’d never been married. As we spent time together and took our relationship before the Lord, we believed God was bringing us together as a family. We were married in 2002, with our families and close friends joining in our celebration. Shortly thereafter, I legally adopted Kristine's children, Christian, Andrew and Sarah!

We never imagined we’d walk the path of infertility. After several difficult years, we’ve been told we’re unable to conceive. However, we believe God has called us to grow our family, and that He has led us to Christian Adoption.

Kristine’s Thoughts About Tom When Tom married me with 3 young children, everyone recognized his depth of character and heart. His godly integrity and leadership of our family makes us feel safe, secure and loved beyond measure. Tom is sweet, gentle, loving, hardworking, attentive, intelligent, and witty! He has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Naval Architecture and spent 8 years in the Navy learning to fly; then he became a flight instructor. When Tom begins a task, he completes it successfully. We have benefited greatly from his vast knowledge about many subjects. Tom is a patient teacher at home, but also a well respected pilot for a major airline.

Tom’s Thoughts About Kristine When we first met, I was impressed by Kristine’s gentle kindness and her godly virtues. Her polite and well mannered children spoke volumes about her dedication as a mother. What a blessing God has given me to have a wife that helps me become a better person! I have seen Kristine’s spiritual walk with the Lord grow and mature. She trusts in His sovereign will and God has shaped her heart. She is the one and only love for me; I trust her completely. Kristine is a full time homemaker and manages our home with wisdom and care.

About Our Children Christian is our oldest child and resident historian. He’s passionate about anything that has to do with history, and is a walking encyclopedia of information. His interests have taken us to some interesting places, like historical reenactments and battlefields. He enjoys reading, singing, playing the trumpet and the piano, and has recently taken up acoustical guitar. His personality can be quite serious, so God gave him Andrew for a brother. Andrew is all about fun and people! He’s our home grown comedian and keeps us laughing and shaking our heads on a daily basis! He likes to tinker with things and take them apart…I guess we were finished using that digital camera...! He also enjoys singing, playing percussion instruments and the acoustical guitar. Sarah is our youngest and what a blessing she is to our family. She’s all about things domestic, and looks forward to being a wife and mother. She’s a willing helper in our home, and enjoys reading, sewing, learning to cook in the kitchen, and all God’s creatures – furry, feathered and otherwise. Sarah also enjoys singing and is learning to play the flute. All three kids excel in music, they sing in choir, and play in a local concert band. They’re praying for God to bring them more siblings. You can be assured, they’re praying for you!

About Our Home Our cozy home is nestled in the gentle trees of a subdivision. We’ve made some wonderful memories and our neighbors have become life-long friends. Sarah is passionate about horses, the boys enjoy outdoor sporting hobbies, and we look forward to planting a large garden. Our dogs, Boo and Baxter, and our kitty, Bobbie, enjoy their places in our hearts and home.

What We Like To Do It’s wonderful to be home, snuggling on the couch to watch a movie or hosting a campfire cookout in our backyard with friends. Kristine loves to cook, so we often gather in the kitchen to simply be with each other. We also enjoy traveling together in our RV and we’ve visited some great places as well as had fun fishing, and exploring old settlements. We’re only hours away from both of our families and we’re grateful for their loving support.

We are members of a small, country church where the members seek to glorify God and apply Scripture in all things. We are a close-knit bunch that love to spend time together. Our faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our lives. God has provided us with precious-beyond-words church family.

Although we don’t understand many events in life, we trust in God’s infinite wisdom, grace, mercy and love. We believe He does all things for our benefit. We don’t know your name yet, but our hearts already love you and your baby.
