We’re Bob and Kyra from beautiful Oklahoma!

We believe there are difficult decisions ahead and we pray that God will lead you to the right family for your child. We pray for you to know His peace.

About Us: We met in 1994 while working as social workers and became close friends. We began dating before Kyra went to law school and in 1997 we were married on her grandparent’s farm. People often asked us “When are you going to have children?” Looking back, we realize now that God was preparing us to become adoptive parents. We will be honored to be entrusted with such a responsibility. I work as a social worker and Kyra is a Judge. We have worked with families and children in our jobs for over 20 years combined. We have twelve nieces and nephews and enjoy spending time with our families. Our parents and siblings live in Oklahoma and we look forward to spending holidays, birthdays, and graduations together. My parents recently celebrated 50 years of marriage and Kyra’s parents have been married for over 43 years. 

About Bob (written by Kyra): When I met Bob, I met my best friend and soul mate. He has brought so much joy to my life! Bob is insightful, intelligent, kind and gentle. He also has an amazing sense of humor and makes me laugh every day. He inspires me with his ability to be straightforward and honest with people and his dedication to families. Through his life and profession, he has affected the lives of many children. Many of the youth he’s helped remain in contact with him. It’s exciting to receive news about a child who has decided to go to college or enlist in the military or to learn about their happiness and success. Bob enjoys running (marathons included), is a gifted photographer, and a great cook. I enjoy watching him interact with our nieces and nephews, who love him dearly. I know he’ll be a wonderful father and gladly share his love and guidance with our children.

About Kyra (written by Bob): Kyra is the love of my life and my best friend. We have a marriage founded on trust and we are partners in every sense. We would rather spend our free time together, than with others (we get together for lunch almost every day). I love to watch how Kyra cares for others; she has a natural ability to engage and nurture children. Although Kyra is well educated and has reached many goals, she’s still a person that easily strikes up a conversation with others at the grocery store. She radiates kindness! Friends, teachers and neighbors enjoy catching up with her about old times. Even the janitor and secretary from her elementary school chat frequently with us when we’re out shopping! Kyra is multi-talented whether she's playing the piano, writing poetry, planting flowers or out fishing. She is also funny and yearns to become a mother. Kyra, who is Native American (Cherokee), will be a loving, dedicated and devoted mother.

Our Home: We live in a family neighborhood in a wonderful community where Kyra was raised. Our home is close to several schools, a pedestrian walkway, and a bicycle path. We have plenty of space in our home and backyard for lots of playing and family reunions. Our nursery is ready and we pray to wrap our baby in the blankets Kyra's mother has been patiently knitting! 

We are confident that God has a beautiful plan for our family. We're willing to be patient to meet the children He has chosen for us. We’ve learned that we have to trust in His plan and have faith in the journey He has determined. Thank you for reading about us!
