Dear Friend,

Hello! We are Wayne and Dorothy and we live in Iowa.

We love you and care about you and your baby! We admire you for giving life to your child. We pray for your heart to be encouraged as you face the challenge of choosing adoptive parents for your baby. Although we have never experienced what you are going through, we recognize your sacrifice. We pray for God's guidance and hope you will trust us to parent your child.

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path. Proverbs 3:5&6

ABOUT US: We knew each other slightly during childhood, but later connected as teenagers at church gatherings. We dated for 2 years and are thankful to God for blessing us with over 10 years of a happy and loving marriage. We doctored for infertility for several years, but now look forward to adding to our family through adoption. Our desire is to share our hearts and home with a child. Wayne is the youngest of a fun loving family of 8. We have many nieces and nephews from toddler age to married adults. Most of them live nearby and we enjoy lots of family gatherings. Dorothy has 2 brothers and 1 sister. They live 30-40 miles from us and we stay in close contact. Our families are very excited and supportive of adoption. We have adopted children in both of our families. Our time together, whether during work or fun, is precious and memorable. We especially enjoy traveling or taking 2-day camping trips. Sometimes friends join us, but we also cherish our quiet times together.

DOROTHY ABOUT WAYNE: I love so many things about Wayne! He is a wonderful, loving husband who shares my joys and understands my sorrows. He loves children and they respond to him. He has the qualifications for being a great "Dad" and he is already a faithful provider.

WAYNE ABOUT DOROTHY: Dorothy is the love of my life! She is thoughtful, caring and goes out of her way to help others. She loves working in the garden, flowerbeds, is a great cook and a wonderful housekeeper. When we are with family or friends she is often surrounded by children that bask in her love.

OUR HOME & SOCIAL LIFE: We live in a small friendly town where almost everyone knows each other. There are 2 parks within walking distance from our home. We are active members of a Christian Mennonite Church. We love to learn more about God and we enjoy the fellowship with others who love the Lord. We are both Sunday school teachers and also teach the children's summer Bible school. Our church schedules plenty of ball games, picnics, moonlight hayrides, ice skating parties, and Christmas caroling for the elderly. We are a close “family group” who enjoys a good time! Our church also provides Christian schooling for children 1^st grade-12^th.

OUR OCCUPATION: We are in partnership with Wayne’s brother in a large hog operation. We also own a small business selling truck accessories and working on truck engines. Dorothy takes care of the office work and cleaning, but is ready to become a full time stay-at-home mom!

OUR PET: We have a pampered dog named Chipper! He travels with Wayne in his Jeep to do chores or spends the day at our business. Chipper can usually be found snoozing on his puffy bed in our office!

We look forward to teaching our child(ren) about God’s love and to encourage them to follow their dreams and to be wise with their success. We anticipate our home being filled with laughter, praise for accomplishments, involvement in school activities, and God's daily blessings.
