Dear Birthmother,

Our names are David and Jennifer and we live in California.

We have prayed for the Lord's guidance to help us expand our family. We have a deep desire to provide a secure home to another child. Since we are no longer able to conceive a child, we believe God has called us to adoption. We are full of expectation as we wait for God's answer to our prayers!

In July 2005, the Air Force transferred our family to Japan, the land of the rising sun. It was an enriching experience for our girls Lily (9) and Grace (2), but we were happy to return to the United States!

About Jenn:

David and I met while we were attending law school and by the fall of 2001, we were an item! I’m from California and my childhood was full of happy memories. My parents have been married for 32 years and are strong Christians. My brother and I were raised by their example of endearing love and Christian values. I knew that I wanted a marriage full of love, dedication, and joy. My marriage to David has been all that I hoped for and more. David has a wonderful sense of humor and an easy laugh! He’s a man of integrity, intelligence and humility. I’m so thankful that God brought him into my life. Lily was 3 when David and I began dating and she was 5 when we got married. Although Lily is not his biological daughter, David's love for her has no bounds; he’s her Papa! In 2005, we gave birth to our miracle daughter, Grace! We look forward to the blessing of another child and I'm thankful to be able to work from home as an attorney.

About David:

I’m from a few years here…and a few years there! My father enlisted in the armed forces when he was very young, so I’m an Air Force “kid”. My parents have been happily married for over 37 years. My brother and I were raised all over the world…California, the Philippines, Massachusetts, Texas (twice), Louisiana, and Germany. I graduated from high school in Germany and first learned to drive while living in Europe. I’ve lived in, or visited 48 of our 50 states! (Alaska and Idaho remain on my list!) I signed up for ROTC during my sophomore year of college and realized I’d found my niche. Since joining the Air Force I have been stationed in California, North Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, and now Japan. I took a break from the Air Force to attend law school and little did I know I would meet my beautiful wife! Jenn is nothing short of God’s special gift to me! She is the love of my life! I rejoined the Air Force as a military attorney (JAG) right after our wedding, but we hope to settle down in Colorado, when my time in the Air Force comes to an end.  

About parenting:

David is a great father because he provides our girls with a mature Christian role model. He gives wise counsel, is dedicated to our family, and balances appropriate discipline with tenderness. David is very attentive to the needs of all his girls!  Grace, Lily, and I are secure in his love for us and in his financial provision. Jenn is a passionate, attentive, and a loving mother whose strengths compliment any weakness. Those who say that women can’t possibly “do it all” have never met my wife! The Lord has truly blessed me with my perfect match. We accept the responsibility of parenting seriously and will encourage our children to pursue their dreams. We will help them develop self confidence and teach them to be respectful, hard working and God loving individuals. We hope we will please God for the gifts He has entrusted to us. We believe the greatest gift we can give to our children is our faithful commitment to one another. We embrace parenting through our faith in Christ and our union under God. We were blessed to have grown up in loving homes with parents that demonstrated Christ’s love and we are determined to provide that same unwavering example for our children.

About our lifestyle:

We are a relaxed family that also enjoys an endless list of outdoor activities. One of our favorite past times includes lounging around on a Saturday morning after enjoying a big breakfast of waffles, bacon, and eggs…followed by a movie marathon! We especially like to ski as a family. Jenn enjoys running and David has already participated in a few marathons. We all enjoy sports and Lily is part of a youth bowling league and attends sign language classes.

We know we’re not perfect parents, but we are committed to provide a stable environment full of joy, love, and Christ centered values. Your child will be wanted, loved, encouraged and helped to develop into their fullest potential.
