CHRISTIAN ADOPTION: Brandon & Carlin

Hi!

We are Brandon, Carlin and Reese and we live in Missouri.

It is with great anticipation that we write this letter. We are grateful for this opportunity to share a glimpse of our lives with you. We cannot begin to understand what a challenging task this is for you as you read through these letters. However, we want you to know that our prayers are with you as you contemplate this important decision.

About Us: We met through mutual friends in the fall of 1997 and our friendship grew over the next year. We were married in 1999. Brandon and I are best friends and treasure every moment together, whether it is watching television, going shopping or taking a walk. We also enjoy spending time with our families and we are very involved in our church. After years of waiting and praying we felt that God led us to start our family through adoption. In 2007 we adopted our son Reese and he has been a tremendous blessing! Parenthood has deepened our love and we look forward to raising more children.

About Brandon: Brandon is a wonderful husband! He is affectionate, thoughtful and loves having fun. His top priority is family, but he also has a kind heart to help others. Brandon is a hard worker and a dedicated provider as a machine operator. He is also a do-it-yourself guy as he can do or fix just about anything! He enjoys hunting, golfing, predicating the weather, tracking storms, gazing at the stars through his telescope or working on something in his shop. God has blessed me with a great man and a wonderful father for Reese. Brandon is very protective and is involved in every aspect of Reese's care. I love watching them play together and Brandon makes up funny songs and new games that keep Reese laughing.

About Carlin: Carlin is the greatest blessing God has given me. She is a fabulous, smart, beautiful, caring, loving woman and an excellent Mom. She is a hard worker, keeps our house clean and well organized. She is adventurous and enjoys scrap booking, walking, shopping and watching movies. She works from home so she can take care of Reese. She loves children and they love her; they flock to her wherever we go! Carlin is dedicated in her commitment to rely upon the Lord; her faith in Him is the foundation of her life.

About Reese: Reese is a wonderful happy boy! He is very energetic and is always on the move. He lights up the room wherever we go and puts a smile on everyone’s face! He has enriched our lives in countless ways.

Our Families: On weekends, you'll often find us spending time with family; most of our family lives nearby. We are blessed to have a close-knit family that is excited to welcome and love the children we adopt. Brandon is the youngest of 4 children and Carlin is the fourth of 5 children.

Our Church: We attend the same small Baptist church that Carlin’s family attended. We enjoy spending time with our church friends and Christian family. Our church is very Bible based and we’re blessed to have a wonderful Pastor that teaches us God’s Word so that we may grow in our Christian life. We are thankful for the dedicated church family God has given us. Carlin teaches children’s church and Brandon maintains the lawn. We believe that church is critical in the upbringing of a child.

Family Goals: Our prayer is to raise a family that lives for the Lord and obeys His commandments. We are an encouragement and support for one another in every area of our lives. Our relationship with each other and the Lord continues to grow and deepen in love. We are certain that we will provide a warm, secure and loving home for a child. He or she will be raised to understand that your choices were because of your love and courage. We enjoyed being raised in large families and are excited for Reese to have siblings. We pray you will seek God for strength and guidance in making this decision. He will give you the peace and reassurance you need to do what is best. We will forever be grateful to you, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts for giving us such a precious blessing.
