Hi,

We are John, Sarah, Ryan, Eric and Andy. We live in Virginia.

We believe that nothing happens by accident and that you discovered us for a reason. We are "jazzed" you found us; humbled you would take the time to read about us. How can we sum up who we are in a few paragraphs? We can only expose a piece of our hearts to you and attempt to give you a glimpse into our daily lives and the way we live.

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love and he who lives in love, lives in God and God in him.

God loves us and our family already love's the little one that the Lord is bringing to us. We believe that "relationship" is the greatest gift that God gives us as a family. Every member has a vital role in the flow of these connections and the blueprint that makes up who we are. Our family relationships are built on trust, love and respect for each other. We believe that as the birth mom, you too have a role; only you can help us figure out what that part will be. Our hearts desire is that you will want to be involved. In raising our family, we choose to have fun and enjoy ourselves! In the summer, swimming, camping, fishing and baseball games are some of the ways
we have fun. We see each adventure is an opportunity to communicate and pass on our values to our children. Our family is a close one that talks, laughs, plays and prays together. We laugh all the time because we think that we are funny and can find humor in almost everything.

Sarah about John:
When I think of John, the first thing that goes through my mind is that he is a gift to me, from the heart of God to my heart. When we met 14 years ago, I knew after the first date that he was the one for me, like the
missing piece of a puzzle in my life. John is a flight paramedic, active with our local regional air ambulance. He
has called home more than once if he has flights that will take him anywhere near our home. It is exciting to see dad "working" at a job he loves and important to us that the children know what a servants heart John has. It is another occasion to set an example for the children when they see what he does when he leaves to go to work.

John about Sarah:
She is my best friend, the joy and love of my life. When planning my schedule for the month, there is time every week, that I set aside, just for her, because I want her to know that that time is special to me. Sarah can pull anything out of her purse, or "mom bag" as we call it. Hot wheels, Tylenol, band-aids, hair ties, a can opener (we still don't know how that got there), and once there was a frog, courtesy of Andy J.  It all depends on the time of year. In the summer, swim goggles might be in there as well.  Sarah is the school nurse at the boy's school, working part-time. It is a blessing to be able to visit with the boys during the school day and attend class field trips. John's schedule is flexible enough that when a substitute nurse is needed, he fills in, allowing him to also visit with the boys during the day.

Our Children:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. We believe that our children are a special present from the Lord. We stand in awe of the fact that the Lord chose us to be their parents. He has blessed us with three bright, unique, active, loving gifts, each one is a living, breathing, and treasured work of art. We enjoy helping each other grow in our personalities, some a little bigger than others'.  John and I believe that God has a big vision and special plans for Ryan, Eric, Andy and the new bundle of joy that He is bringing to our family. Together we have earned a Ph.D. in "hands on" parenting. We have enjoyed and been thankful for the many opportunities on this journey. Ryan is 17, and from Sarah's first marriage. John adopted Ryan after we married and she has called him "dad" ever since. We have often joked that he loved her first. Daddy dates have been a staple in their lives, time to go to lunch or a movie and just give them talking time. She is an athlete, and has played volleyball, basketball and softball on school teams since middle school. Eric is our second son, the "man of a million questions". He is quiet, soft-spoken, with a dry sense of humor. Usually when he speaks it is to ask a question. The awesome thing about Eric is that he listens to the
answers. He loves basketball, kick the can, and golf. Fishing with dad is his passion. The boys love to fish. When the weather is warm, they will fish anywhere that they can cast a line.  Andy J is our special gift born after we were advised not to try to have any more children. We call him the "Chairman of the board". He likes to be in charge and direct things. Building "Thomas-the-Tank Towns" is perfect for him. He loves soccer, baseball, fishing and softball practice when mom plays or is coaching. Being our ball/bat guy is big fun for him. All three of our children are talented artists and love to draw.

Although we do not know your name, we have been praying for you and for the life and health for your baby (or babies). We understand that you are in the most difficult situation you have ever had to face. We have so much respect for you for making such a generous, selfless sacrifice. God will lead you to make the right choices and help you find the family for your baby. He offers so much hope, and is able to guide you in the decisions that will give comfort, peace and help ease your aching heart. At the same time, He will provide a family that will be a blessing to you and the baby (or babies). We look forward to getting to know you.

In His Service,

John & Sarah -- We're matched again !
