FOOTPRINTS

Written by Deborah.

3.27.03

Did you know that everywhere we walk, we leave an actual footprint?

We may be barefooted, wearing boots, sandals or shoes, or even walking on tiptoes--it doesn't matter, we're leaving a trail of footprints behind us.

As you probably know, thermal tracking devices register heat residues. Our footprint's heat intensity can be measured and recorded.

Everywhere we walk, we leave a literal trail of footprints.

Did you know that everywhere we walk, as God's children, we leave a spiritual footprint?

We may be newly born again ones, maturing believers or faithful followers of Christ--it doesn't matter, we're leaving a trail of spiritual footprints behind us.

Our prayers can leave a legacy behind us that encourages Christians. Our supplications can blaze a testimonial trail for others to follow. Our intercessions can quietly lay a foundation of truth to be built upon by our children. Our petitions can pave the way for future generations to walk in his steps.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did not sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.  I Peter 2:21-23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.  Psalm 37:23-24

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.  Psalm 119:133

Every day, no matter where we are, we're leaving a trail of physical and spiritual footprints.

We can minimize the privilege, responsibility and eternal effect of what we do with our lives each day.

Or...

We can respond to the laws that God created for our benefit.

Every time we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, we make a difference.

Every time we stand on God's Holy Word, we affect the future.

Every time we give or serve or minister with Christ's love, we bring healing.

Every time we confess God's promises, we speak light into the darkness.

In Christian Adoption, we believe we have a responsibility to pray for others.

Footprints.

Brothers and sisters in Christ...we're leaving footprints.
