BRIANNA-2
We present some of the dialogue between Brianna and Christian Adoption's adminstrator, Deborah. Conversations before and after placement are recorded to encourage the reader. God is still on the throne answering prayer!
(Another successful adoption associated with Christian Adoption.)
(Before adoption...)
Dear Deborah,
Things are going well with Becca, we talk on the phone at least once a week and continue contact by E-mail. She went to the doctor and heard the baby's heart beat. Everything seems to be going good with the pregnancy, though she has been pretty sick, and said she lost 4 lbs since her last appointment from the morning sickness. She said that she would be honored to carry out His plan by placing this child with us. I feel in my heart and I have from the very beginning that this is our child. I believe God has been in this from the beginning. There are just so many things that have His signature on them.
Remember that night we received the contact and you told us to ask her why she chose us? Well, the night that we had our pictures taken for our profile, I went into our bedroom and prayed, "Lord the only thing I want the birthmother to see when she looks at us is you. I want her to see the love of Jesus shining in us. I want her to see the love of Jesus."
Well, when she answered that question she said that she had read our profile and that touched her heart but when she looked at our pictures she could tell we were both very genuine people and she could see the love of Jesus in our eyes and smiles!
Tell me that's not God?! You know, some doubt what we are doing but they do not know the one we know and trust. The God that we seek for our every need. They cannot understand while looking through natural eyes. The only thing they see is the impossible--the negative. We look through the eyes of Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We are trusting in the God who said, "For I know my plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future." Jeremiah 29:11.
I put my complete trust in the Lord and I know that as long as we continue to seek Him and His will, everything will be just fine. God has given us such a peace about this. We feel so blessed that God has brought us together.
We continue to pray for all in the Christian Adoption family and for each couple to be blessed with God's best.
Love and Prayers. Your Friends in Christ,
Brianna
Everything seems to be going so smoothly and I 'm on cloud 9. The Lord had laid it on my heart to share some of the things that had happened since our contact started, the way she answered my prayer with just the words that I prayed. Only God knew those words and of all the words in the world she answered with those very ones! I had planned on sharing this with her later on down the road, but the Lord kept laying it on my heart to share this with her, and so I did. And to my surprise she also feels that this is God's plan and said she had be hesitant to say this--not because she wasn't sure about us, but she wanted to be sure this was God's will. She said that God had given her peace about us and about placing the baby with us. She said she feels so strongly that God did create Lil' Angel (that's what we call the baby) for us. Then on Sunday, she said she is placing Lil' Angel with us and that she knew in heart that's God's plan. We talked about being there for the birth, and how she wants us to be involved as much as possible. She feels it wouldn't be right to bring a baby into the world without his/her parents being there! Oh how my heart filled with such joy--you know that joy that's unspeakable?! Needless to say I have just been in awe about it all. God is soooooo good!
The birthfather is slinging insults at her and suggested that she is taking the easy way out. That really upsets me because placing this baby with us is not going to be easy. I believe it takes a very special person with courage and love to be able to do such a selfless, loving and kind thing. Becca still believes Lil' Angel was created just for us--as she puts it!
My love and prayers to you and to all those that are on the roller coaster ride of adoption.
P.S. Oh, I wanted to tell you that I've been giving your cards to couples seeking to adopt and telling everyone about Christian Adoption and how this ministry is a God-send and how by putting this world aside and seeking God---then and only then will we hear from heaven. When we allow God's plan to unfold in our lives and we stop trying to do it all ourselves, then we know where our deliverance came from--from our great God!
Love you ALL. Love and Prayers. Your Friends in Christ,
Brianna

(After adoption...)
I just wanted to write a little since Isaiah is sleeping. I thank God every day for him! At times I can't believe he is ours! Wow! So many thoughts and emotions you just don't expect. Feelings you never imagined you would or could ever have. God reminds me that even though we love our new son so deeply and so very much, our love is nothing compared to the love of our Heavenly Father. It is only by His love that all of this has happened. I praise Him everyday and cannot thank Him enough.
Please pass on our thanks to all our Christian Adoption family for all their support and prayers. We continue to pray for each and everyone on the web site. God will bless in His time and in His way.
In His Love,
Brianna
