THE VALUE OF A CHILD

Throughout the last 5 years of managing the monies for Christian Adoption, we have spent various sums in different ways that yielded confirmed results. In 1999, we spent $7.00 on a 'local shopper paper' ad in OK and the result was B & D's birthmom (M) and baby S. In 2000, we spent some $7,000.00 in Yellow Page advertising throughout OK, KS, MO and AR. The result was J & A's birthmom (C) and baby M. In Jan./Feb. 2001, we spent some $700.00 in long distance phone bills and the result was J & P's birthmom (B) and baby E.

We admit that we have 'fallen victim' to erroneous thinking regarding the managing of money for CA. There is no price, no value, and no financial comparison to the life of a child. $7.00 or $700.00 or $7,000.00 is all the SAME to God. It is ALL HIS MONEY! Wise stewardship is not making every penny 'count', but rather trusting in the guidance of our heavenly Father and continuing to trust in His ability to provide HIS MONEY for following HIS guidance.

I have repented to my Father many times for getting hung up on figures and for failing to trust in HIS LIMITLESS BANKING ABILITIES! What we spend in the years to come is insignificant. Trusting in Him more and more to supply our every need is significant. (That's the George Mueller life we try to emulate.)

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not doubt how his every need would be met. He followed his Father's guidance and all his needs were met.

May all of us associated with Christian Adoption diligently renew our minds to follow in Jesus Christ's example of absolute trust.
