GOD CAN SUPPLY
Eddie and I both know experientially what it is like to be financially poor. We understand the frustration of not having enough and the need to stretch each dollar. With God's help we've both learned that God honors the prayers of His people and that He is a willing supplier for all our needs. It requires discipline and work to acquire/maintain/manage money. We have learned that as we were willing to put forth our best effort to save, to earn, and to increase our finances, God faithfully opened doors of opportunity. This working together with Him to achieve a goal builds confidence in God's grace and abundance. He is able and He is willing to meet and to supply our every need.
Some ways to save money/make money for your adoption process.
1. Tithe faithfully--9/10ths of your money will go further with God's hand of blessing upon it, than 10/10ths without it.
2. Instead of buying birthday, anniversary, holiday gifts this year--make them.
3. Have a yard sale/garage sale.
4. Trade down a vehicle for one with a smaller payment.
5. Acquire a second job on nights or weekends.
6. Consider any of these money making options: pet-sitting, yard work, ironing, house cleaning, baby sitting, elderly companion, part-time cook for house bound people/seniors/working Moms, doing laundry for singles.
7. Save the money from eating out and eat at home instead.
8. Consider selling a large ticket item: car, jewelry, appliances, etc.
9. Cancel your vacation this year and put the money into your adoption fund.
10. Hold a bake sale at your church, with a portion of the proceeds being given to you for your adoption fund.
11. Inquire with your community center about an area wide garage sale, with a portion being paid to you for organizing the event.
12. Collect and sell pop cans, newspapers, and/or steel to a scrap yard.
13. Pray for money making opportunities and then take action when God presents them to you.
14. Pray for a pay increase, a bonus project, more work, and ways to save money.
15. If God leads you to list with our service, consider asking us about some opportunities that we make available to all those associated with our ministry.
