STEWARDS
Steward is defined in God's Word as: One entrusted for caring for a superior's goods. In the Old Testament a steward was responsible for managing the householder's material goods. In the New Testament the word 'steward' refers to a guardian or curator in addition to it's Old Testament meaning as a manager or superintendent of a household. In all of life, with privilege comes responsibility--they are joined hand in hand.
As born again ones, one of our privileges is eternal life; one of our responsibilities is to speak His Word of life to others.
As believers, one of our privileges is to be able to come before His throne of grace; one of our responsibilities is to study His Word so we can know how to come before Him.
As His sons and daughters, one of our privileges is to seek His guidance; one of our responsibilities is to trust in His answers.
As servants, one of our privileges is to be able to serve; one of our responsibilities is to serve with humility and in love.
As stewards, one of our privileges is to be entrusted with His supply; one of our responsibilities is to seek His counsel.
As stewards, one of our privileges is to be blessed by His abundance; one of our responsibilities is to utilize it with wisdom.
As stewards, one of our privileges is to be worthy of His trust; one of our responsibilities is to respond with humility.
