WHAT'S THE DEAL?
It seems like an oxymoron: a ministry that charges a fee for its services.
But it is ethical and Biblical to receive compensation for services rendered.
There are 3 ethical standards for monetary exchange.
1. The law of production; for a product produced
2. The law of service; for a service rendered
3. The law of love; for a love offering
These Biblically based exchanges are fundamental for our understanding of ethical business.
The laborer is worthy of his hire. (Luke 10:7) This truth cannot be stated any more clearly.
At Christian Adoption we accept the responsibility of stewarding the funds that are sent to us for services rendered or as love offerings.
In our first year of service, we faithfully tithed 10% and shared an additional 10% of all monies received.
In our second year of our ministry, we faithfully tithed 10% and shared an additional 9% of all monies received.
In our third year of helping others in the adoption process, we continued to faithfully tithe 10% and an additional 8% of all monies received.
In our fourth year of this ministry, we faithfully tithed 10% and gave liberally of all monies received.
In our fifth year of Christian Adoption, we faithfully tithed 10%, and shared over 30% more of all monies received. We generously assisted, supported, and helped our Christian Adoption family with those additional funds. To God be the glory!
In our sixth year of ministering to others in the adoption process, we continued to faithfully tithe 10% and continued to share liberally with those within our Christian Adoption family. (By God's grace and mercy, our goal is to tithe and abundantly share 50% of all monies received.)
As we closed out our seventh year of Christian Adoption, we continued to tithe 10% of all monies received and joyfully surprised, shocked and blessed our CA family with financial gifts and support. (By God's grace and mercy, our goal continues to remain, to tithe and abundantly share 50% of all monies received.)
In our eighth year of Christian Adoption, we continued to tithe 10% of all monies received and were thankful to willfully support many other ministries as well as bless those within our ministry with financial surprises and support.
In our ninth year of Christian Adoption, we continued to tithe 10% of all monies received and were blessed to offer financial aid and support to those in our Christian Adoption Family.
As we completed our tenth year of serving God's people, we remained mindful of the spiritual blessings that are reaped upon Christian Adoption because of our faithfulness to tithe and to share abundantly.
Ending a decade has given us pause to reflect on where we've been and the multitude of ways that God has blessed our ministry. As we begin our eleventh year of serving God's people, we will remain faithful to God's fundamental principles of tithing and abundant sharing.
Organizing, running, and ministering this service as a 1-man operation is challenging. We have given over $27,000.00 of our own personal funds to support, promote, and to help others in the adoption process; as well as devoted over 17,200 hours of our time in the past 140 months. God has graciously honored our commitment and has rewarded our efforts. We are thankful beyond measure for His love and mercy. We are blessed to be counted worthy to serve and to give. Our statistics cannot be compared to any other adoption service, we are definitely unique and we know it. We are humbled by God's kindness.
We acknowledge that we have 'paid our dues' so to speak and that God clearly states "The laborer is worthy of his hire" (Luke 10:7). As our service has grown, as our understanding has deepened, as our experiences have increased, as our knowledge and application has multiplied, and as our perspectives have broadened we have concluded that we must charge a fair and equitable fee for our products, for our services, for our time, and for our labor.
The monies we receive are spent with thanksgiving and prayer. We seek God's guidance and His blessing as we steward His money for this ministry. It is a responsibility and one that we accept seriously.
Our accountant keeps us on track and our ledger books are not private.
With a clear conscience we can declare that we do not profit from those that desire to become parents.
With complete confidence we can rely on God's eternal rewards for laboring in love.
With full assurance we can give God the glory and the praise for every successful adoption associated with our service.
What's the deal?
Our service is about God, answered prayers and deliverance.
It just doesn't get any better.
