Today is Gotcha Melissa Day!
It's our 2 year anniversary of celebrating our little Chinese born Melissa.
This is a special day that our family will never forget. We hope our efforts help our precious Melissa to know how much we love her.
This morning we explained what's meant by Gotcha Melissa Day and she seemed to understand.
For the last 2 weeks, I've been working on a China Book for Melissa to record her story. I'm not a scrapbooking kind of mom. But I sorted through our tub of photos and somehow managed to get 6 pages completed.
Melissa was thrilled to look through her China Book and enjoyed sharing it with Grandpa and Grandma.
We have a lot of neat photos relevant to her history, her homeland, and where we first met her in China.
Even though she doesn't appreciate these people, places, and memories now, we think they'll become significant.
Tonight we had a oriental dinner and a chockit cake!
We lit a special candle for Melissa's China mommy and we gave Melissa a gift.
In the future, we'll give her all the gifts we bought for her while in China.
We thank God for our daughter Melissa.
She came to us through adoption and we're raising her to know Jesus Christ.
