CHRISTIAN ADOPTION: Micah & AJ

Dear Birthmom,

Hi! We are Micah, AJ (Amy Jo), Annalis, and Soren. We live in Minnesota.

Thank you for choosing life! The Lord is the creator of life and He has a perfect plan for your little one. We have 2 children and God has placed it heavy on our hearts to adopt. He has guided us every step of the way and led us to Christian Adoption. May the Lord continue to work in all of our lives for His good!

We met in 1999 while attending college; we both played college soccer and found friendship and laughter immediately. We are best friends and have so much fun together! We feel it’s important to keep your silly side!

Every child that becomes a part of our large extended family is a special gift from God. We teach our children the importance of family teamwork. We all have flaws, ups and downs, but how we handle them through Christ gives us depth and character. Our family motto is: we are a gift to each other and we stick together through everything.

Micah (written by AJ) is an amazing husband and father. He’s a steady and constant force in our family. He seeks the Lord’s will and leads us accordingly. Micah is very loving, loyal, giving and has a great sense of humor! He’s a human jungle gym for our kiddos, enjoys coaching Annalis’ YMCA soccer team, and loves to have fun! He has a servant’s heart for children as he works at a children’s hospital.

AJ (written by Micah) is an extraordinary woman and a dedicated stay-at-home mom. Her days are filled with art projects, field trips, playtime, reading, and teaching our children new things. AJ has a compassionate heart, loves the Lord, and walks in faith. She is artistically talented, well organized, and pays attention to details. Her greatest joy is spending time with family.

Annalis (4) is very tender hearted, excels at art, and is a devoted mother to her dolls! She is our little prayer warrior with a pure heart of faith. Annalis is a wonderful big sis to her little brother, is eager to help, and prays for another sibling.

Soren (2) is a fun and boisterous little boy that always has something to say! He loves music, adores babies, and plays with our fluffy Bichon, Elsa. We see a great leader for the Lord in him. We pray that Soren will grow up to be a prudent man of God.

Our children have 13 loving cousins, in addition to aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We are very close and get together often. We all enjoy the outdoors with jogs around the lake, downhill skiing, playing on Minnesota lakes in the summer, and traveling up north to spot deer in grandma and grandpa’s back yard! We also enjoy cozy times together with popcorn and a movie, Saturday morning pancakes (Micah’s specialty), family devotions, and other family traditions.

However, our walk with the Lord is our most important calling. We believe we need to press in to Him and seek how to serve Him with our whole hearts. As parents, we believe it’s our responsibility to pray over our children. We ask for His direction for each of our children so that they may bear fruit in their lives. We also feel it’s important to bring out each child’s personality and help them to be confident in Christ. We are very active in our church and are blessed to be a part of a wonderful church body that’s filled with many children. Our church has a big heart for adoption and we are surrounded by their support.

We are humbled that the Lord has called us to adopt. We’re excited to add another child to our family! We are praying for you and your sweet child.
