Dear Birthparent,

We are Terry and Peggy from Kansas.

Thank you for choosing adoption for your child. We pray that God will give you guidance and strength through this difficult time.

We were introduced through mutual friends in 1998 and married in 1999. We moved into a small 2-bedroom rental house in our hometown. We loved the time we spent with our 3 young nephews that lived a few houses away. They'd run to our house after school or during the weekends for fun and entertainment. We would all ride bikes, play at the park or go out for ice cream! We learned a lot about parenting during those special times. In 2003 we purchased our first home just outside of town with dreams of growing our family. After years of trying to have children of our own, God has led us to Christian Adoption.

As a couple, we spend as much time together as possible. Our 3 dogs, Sammy, Sheppy and Jake, enjoy walks and summer swims. Both of us like to cook, so we have a lot of fun preparing meals together or hosting cookouts during the summer months. We also cook large family dinners during the holidays, and invite friends to join us. Fishing and cooking over a campfire provides memories and laughter about "who" caught the biggest fish!

We both come from very large families and they're a very important part of our lives. Several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews live within a couple hours, and  Terry’s mother has everyone over for Sunday dinner after church.

Traveling together and with family is something we look forward to sharing with our children. Some of our favorite vacations include our 5th Anniversary trip to Hawaii and an Alaskan cruise with family for our 10th Anniversary. We rent a cabin a few times a year to celebrate family birthdays and anniversaries.

By Peggy: I knew in my heart on our first date, that Terry was the man I was going to marry. He is so caring, compassionate, faithful and loyal. He knows how to put a smile on my face no matter what's happened during my day. His love makes me feel secure and the way he looks at me, says it all! He goes out of his way to help others and has a servant's heart. He's a wonderful husband, a great son, a dedicated friend, a special brother and a generous uncle. He's going to be an awesome Dad too! His heart is full of love and he's ready to share it with the child God gives to us. We believe God will answer our prayers.

Peggy has worked for the past several years as a home health nurse with disabled children that require 24/7 care. Her job can be very demanding but it's extremely rewarding. Peggy is a caring, devoted and perceptive nurse. She responds to the needs of others, especially children. She understands that parenting is the most important responsibility within a family. She plans to become a stay at home mom and looks forward to dedicating herself to our family.

By Terry: I love being around Peggy all the time, because I know she'll do something to make me smile or laugh. She is the most loving and caring person I've ever met. She consistently places the needs of loved ones before her own. She gives her heart fully to the children in her care. I believe God gave her the gift of "caring" for others. My earnest prayer is to watch her love and care for our children of our own.

Terry graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree and has been with the same company for over 11 years. He started working 12-hour rotating shifts at the bottom job and has worked his way up to a 5-day a week position in the safety and training profession. He enjoys helping people learn and solve problems. He believes that hard work, integrity and loyalty are important character traits.

When we're blessed with the joy and responsibility of raising a child, we'll provide a strong network of love and support from home, family and church. Be assured that your child will be raised to appreciate God’s creation in nature and be taught Christian values of unconditional love, honesty, and service. We know that raising children requires work and dedication, but we're ready to open our hearts and arms to a child in need of a loving home and a stable family.
