It's amazing how God works in our lives, knitting us together to strengthen our hope, faith and power to "run the race".
I've struggled with my carnal resistance to pray for others. I realize that I haven't chosen to pray for others, because I don't think about their needs.
I've gone to God to receive His forgiveness. Now, I pray for training to become an intercessor for our Christian Adoption Family. I thank God for the opportunity to be in Christian Adoption to receive the blessing of a child and for the prayer opportunities. The Christian Adoption Prayer Calendar, sent out daily, is a constant reminder to pray for the needs of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have the joy of interceding for them on their journey! I may never meet these couples, but God reminds me that our hearts are knit together with several common threads.
1. We love God.
2. We choose to serve Him.
3. We seek His guidance.
4. We desire the joy of children.
5. We give Him the glory.
When I receive a Christian Adoption Prayer Calendar or a Christian Adoption Update, I choose to bow my head in prayer. I plead the needs of others in the name of Jesus Christ. I faithfully pray for God to be honored and glorified. I know He is faithful to demonstrate His power and love.
Thank you Lord, for training us to become prayer warriors for you.
Thank you Lord, for the instruction we receive in Christian Adoption.
Thank you Lord, for teaching me on this journey.
