IT'S COMING

Written by Deborah.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

Perhaps your heart feels sick because your hope is deferred.

Many adoptive couples experience a heart that's sick with despair and deep grief; you're not alone. God's Word teaches us that hope deferred does make the heart sick, but when the desire comes--IT IS A TREE OF LIFE! That's difficult to grasp when your heart is full of sadness, but our Christian Adoption couples tell us over and over...

"I never imagined it would be so wonderful to finally become a parent."

"I had no idea how good it would be."

"It's worth every tear I ever shed and every effort we ever made."

"We finally have gotten our 'smiles' back. I didn't realize how much we were just pretending to smile."

"I would go through all the pain and heartache over again to experience this joy."

"Becoming a Mom is unbelievable. I never imagined I could love a child so much."

"Every bad experience and every sleepless night we spent in worry has been worth it. Now we have sleepless nights with our baby and we LOVE it."

"No one can explain or even come close to defining what it's like to finally hold your baby and know it's forever."

Often the hopes of Christians are easily dashed because they misplace their confidence and hope in people rather than in God. Whenever we invest our hopes in people, we will most likely be disappointed.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desireth cometh it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 KJV

Our desires come when we choose to faithfully trust in our great God. We choose to continue to pray and to wait upon Him. We choose to place our hopes, our dreams, and our full confidence in our Heavenly Father. We choose to remain steadfast, howbeit shaky at times, to rely upon Him for our every need.

May God's Word encourage you.
