Dear Deborah,
Our decision was made yesterday to not "match" with the birth parents from AZ. It is easy to say that Rick and I were tormented with this decision for 3 long days. We had hoped God would speak to us loudly and strongly, but He works His own way and we had to listen to His very quiet and indirect voice. We realize that we want Donnie to be an only child. We are very happy and fulfilled with him and our family as it is. I'm sure I have several family members and friends that think Rick and I need to have our heads checked, but that's okay...they'll get over it. You were right, it's amazing how honest you can be when confronted with these decisions. Rick and I had been talking for a couple of months about ending our adoption search. We are so thankful for our strong faith in God and His plan. How can I thank everyone for all your support/guidance/knowledge and love you've given us over the past months? We are better people for being involved in such a great "family". I gave your name, #, URL to the caseworker at Christian Family Services and urged her to consider all the wonderful families that are involved with CA. Please continue to pray for Ericka and Bob. We will continue to pray for CA. I know without any doubt that all your families will get their child in His time.

Dear Rick and Laura,
Thank you for letting me know your final decision. Your decision is what I anticipated--and I admire your courage in choosing what is RIGHT for you and your family. IT DOES'NT MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS--THIS IS YOUR FAMILY AND IT IS YOUR DECISION. I really think it takes courage to examine your options and to logically assess them. Your lives and hearts are going to change--dramatically. You are no longer on the roller coaster ride of adoption and can MOVE ahead with your lives and family, as is. I fully understand and appreciate your candor and honesty. It is a blessing and admirable. Congratulations on the joy of knowing that your family is complete and life has and will take on new meaning--leave this carnival of life with infertility and adoption and ENJOY your lives!
