DEAR CHRISTIAN ADOPTION FAMILY
Donna shares her heart with our Christian Adoption family. Her letter contains truths that reprove, correct, and instruct us in the way we should go. May His Word be our standard for truth and for our thoughts, no matter what circumstances we may face in this life. Thanks Donna for reminding us to remain thankful. Her name has been changed to protect her privacy.

Dear Christian Adoption Family,
We have at least 2 things in common.
First, our desire to have a child, and second, we are Christians. Sometimes, I think the desire we have for a child supersedes being a true Christian. What I mean by that, is that we don't practice the faith that allows God to work in our lives. We will take care of any situation so we don't have to bother God with the details. When I think back over the years I spent crying and generally being upset over my infertility, I feel I let God down because it showed my lack of faith. 14 years passed between our 1st child and our 2nd adopted daughter. I should have spent those years thanking God for the the blessing He bestowed upon me daily. But instead, in the back of my mind was my desire for another child and it often occupied all my thinking. That desire never left me, so I was torn. My focus was not on God, but on what I did not have. It is my prayer that those that read this letter and are suffering with those empty arms, that you might consider my example and not do what I did. Ask God to help you change your thinking and thank God for what He has in store for you. His plan for us is always perfect. He doesn't make mistakes. Let Him be the one to bring you-YOUR baby. God has directed you to come online with Christian Adoption, let Him now lead you and you follow Him. Both of our adoptions were problem-free. They only happened when I released control and let God answer our prayers. Let go and let God work. When we are at our weakest He is there to lift us up. We continue to pray for everyone on the web site. But find happiness now. Don't waste another day in a pity party over what you don't have. He loves you and has great things in store for you. Use Jesus as as example. He came to do the will of the Father. Will you do the will of the Father? For years I didn't and all it did was cause unhappiness. Learn from your sister in Christ and enjoy a more full life until your "champagne" baby is placed into your arms. Have confidence, trust, and faith in God!
GOD BLESS YOU,
Donna
