God does not withhold from His children that which is best for them and that will bring Him glory.

Adoption is a spiritual journey--either we let God mold and shape our hearts or we become hard and defiant because we aren't getting what we want--whatever that might be!

A wise man told us when we first began our adoption journey, that we cannot adopt to fill the hole in our hearts. He shared that only God could fill that emptiness.

We must adopt for the child.

We must allow God to place His chosen child into our home, to fulfill His plan for the child and for us.

Countless times as we've tucked in our adopted son Michael, we've said,

"Just think how wonderful it will be when God brings us Michael's brother or sister--a chosen child for our family."

If we try to manipulate people and situations to fill the hole in our hearts, we will miss out on His best for us.

We must seek God with our whole hearts and allow Him to fill the voids, to heal our hearts, and to strengthen us along the way.

The journey helps us to grow up in Him and to teach our children how to walk in faith.

God is able to deliver!
