Dear Deborah,

Things do not just happen. We believe many circumstances, events, and situations pass through the hand of God.

Finding Christian Adoption was God's sovereignty at work. Since we first "discovered" Christian Adoption, we can't begin to tell you how much Christian Adoption has filled our minds, has come up in conversations with each other, been discussed with family and friends, and has infiltrated our prayer life. We're excited about what God is going to do in our lives through Christian Adoption!

This journey started almost 10 years ago when we were trying to start a family. Little did we know that God's plans were much different from our own. Along the way, we've contemplated many other options, but didn't sense God was leading us to a particular course of action. However, during the last couple of years and through much prayer, God clearly indicated that adoption was a strong consideration. Specific things, small and large, have taken place that signifies He's guiding us to adoption. (One of the many, small "nudges" that God used to confirm to us to pursue Christian Adoption, is that one of our mothers and an aunt lived in Coffeyville, KS! That's just not a coincidence!)

After studying and reading the Christian Adoption web site, praying, contacting references, and seeking counsel from Christian friends and family; we're confident that God is directing us to take a "leap of faith". We are Christians, relying only on our faith in Jesus Christ to secure our home in heaven. How thankful we are that God led us to Christian Adoption! Where this journey will take us, only God knows. However, we know that He will light our way, one step at a time. Needless to say, we're excited about the days, weeks, and months ahead. We're looking forward to getting to know the Christian Adoption Family better through this ministry of adoption.
